Artur Tlustochowski, CEO and Piotr Zimowski, Terra Casa Technical Director had been invited to Leaders in Architecture Summit, which took place this year in Warsaw. The Summit is the largest event in the region connecting architects, interior designers and senior decision makers from leading international architectural practices, contractors, engineers and solution providers. Gathering over 200 international industry professionals, the Summit provides a unique opportunity to get inspired by industry leaders and meet the decision makers of architecture business.
Among the most interesting presentations were “Vertical Urbanization” by Lukasz Platkowski, Principal and Tall Buildings Practice Area Leader from Gensler, which is one of the largest international architectural firms and “Placemaking as an Engine to Economic and Social Growth of the City” by Monika Laudencka from the London office of RTKL.
Rudi Scheuermann, Director of ARUP in Berlin was sharing his experience about building envelope design with a green perspective, while Krzysztof Kotala presented a very inspiring showcase about the Underwater Tennis Center.
Increased rates of urbanization and global population growth boost the construction to grow from $7.2 trillion to over $12 trillion over the next 6 years according to The Global Construction 2020 report. Poland and some of their eastern European neighbors top the list of the countries ready to undergo the largest and significant growth.
