In Krakow, at Prochowa 8, we celebrated the grand opening of SoHo Residence II, another phase of Terra Casa’s unique investment. Among the distinguished guests were Bogdan Pukszta from the Polish American Chamber of Commerce in Chicago, Iwona Węgrzyn-Bocheńska from Chicago Sister Cities International, Professor Janusz Janczy from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, and President Maciej Kiełbicki from TK-Nova.
President Artur Tłustochowski emphasized the visionary nature of the SoHo Krakow project, which draws inspiration from the artistic spirit of New York’s SoHo. A symbolic ribbon-cutting officially opened SoHo Residence II, and Artur Tłustochowski and Grzegorz Sagan ceremoniously handed over the keys to the new residents. Art took a special place in the program! Anna Sermak, a talented artist whose sculptures, murals, and paintings adorn SoHo Krakow, spoke about her contribution to this exceptional project. The highlight was the unveiling of her sculpture, “Woman in a Scarf,” dedicated to Ms. Iwona Węgrzyn-Bocheńska. During their tour of the building, guests also had the opportunity to admire photographs of Krakow by Paweł Krzan and painting triptychs by Maciej Mróz and Julka Kowalska. The event was completed by a performance by Marek Krupa – a brilliant saxophonist.
After the afternoon ceremonies, SoHo Residence II lit up in full brilliance in the evening! At 8:30 PM, the highly anticipated premiere of Anna Sermak’s fluorescent mural took place. This first-of-its-kind mural in Poland, dedicated to Bogdan Pukszta, literally came alive, transforming the courtyard into a magical, otherworldly space! The atmosphere was fantastic, and additional artistic sensations were provided by the talented vocalist Aga Grembowiec, whose jazz recital filled the air with beautiful sounds. The whole experience was perfectly complemented by Winoteka Krakowska, which organized an exquisite wine tasting, delighting the palates of our guests.
